Homemade Chocolate Crepes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate chips or Nutella for filling
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Fresh berries optional, for garnish
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract
Mix well
Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking continuously until you have a smooth, lump-free batter
Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray
Pour a small ladleful of the batter into the skillet and quickly tilt and swirl the pan to spread the batter evenly in a thin layer
Cook the crepe for about 1-2 minutes, or until the edges start to lift and the bottom is set and lightly browned
Carefully flip the crepe using a spatula and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes until it's cooked through
Remove the crepe from the pan and repeat with the remaining batter
To serve, spread Nutella or sprinkle chocolate chips on each crepe, fold it in half, then fold it in half again to create a triangle
Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh berries if desired
Enjoy your homemade chocolate crepes!
