Dark Chocolate Tart
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pre-made tart crust
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C
Place the pre-made tart crust in a tart pan and set aside
In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer
Remove the saucepan from heat and add the dark chocolate chips, stirring until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth
Stir in the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined
Pour the dark chocolate filling into the prepared tart crust, spreading it evenly
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is set and has a glossy finish
Remove the tart from the oven and let it cool to room temperature
Once cooled, refrigerate the tart for at least 2 hours to allow it to set completely
Serve the dark chocolate tart chilled, optionally garnished with whipped cream or fresh berries
